Music Discovery Experience

Discover the sights and sounds of symphonic music with the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra!

The Music Discovery Experience kicks off with three performances at J. P. McCaskey High School on May 23, 2011 at 9:30, 11:15 am & 12:45pm.

The following week, instrument petting Zoos are presented to third-graders who attended the performances just days before. At these interactive sessions, students learn about the winds and strings of the orchestra; they even get to "play" several instruments.

In the fall, students who cannot afford to buy or rent an instrument may borrow one through the Symphony's Gift of Music program.
