Music Worksheets

Learn how professional musicians mark their music as they prepare for a performance!

For the Student
For the Teacher

These Music Worksheets are a practical application of making music more "user friendly". It encourages students to pencil in symbols that will help them play their part more effectively. An answer sheet has been provided for you.

Simply instruct your students on how to clarify what is already on the page. The phrases "in two,"and "in four," are instructions that you, the conductor, will give to your orchestra. The "con sordini" markings are useful for any instrument that uses a mute. The "mutes" that have been drawn on the answer sheet are for strings.

If you have many string players, you might give them a bowing in measure 5 and ask them to write it in at the beginning of each measure (including meas. 7-10)
