Music's greatest storytellers take center stage in a program dedicated to the art of musical narrative. Wagner's grand Prelude to Die Meistersinger opens with themes of mastery and tradition, followed by the world premiere of Austin Wintory's Interactive Concerto for Guitar featuring 4-time Grammy-nominated guitarist Mak Grgic in an innovative new work that bridges classical and contemporary worlds. The concert concludes with Rimsky-Korsakov's enchanting Scheherazade—the ultimate musical storyteller—spinning tales from the Arabian Nights with exotic melodies, shimmering orchestration, and the seductive voice of the solo violin. From European legends to interactive innovation to Arabian tales, this concert celebrates music's timeless power to tell extraordinary stories.
